Extrusion Dies
The Details are in the Design
Diamond America offers custom extrusion dies designed for a wide array of applications. Collaborate with our experienced team of engineers to establish production requirements and goals. A complete assessment ensures that you receive a high-quality custom die that has been designed to your specifications and manufactured in-house with high quality materials.
Diamond America manufactures multi-channel flow control, coating, co-extrusion, cross head, laminating, sheet, film, pelletizing, and rotating blown film dies. We also design and manufacture shapes to help you brand your product. Our skilled team provides fast turnaround times for both new and reworked dies.
Our Comprehensive Die Offerings
Co-extrusion formulates two or more shapes together through the die exit. Ideal for snacks, pet treats, or pet dental sticks.
Cross head dies are used for coating materials such as wires, cables, and strapping. This die features a mandrel surrounded by an outer die.
The unique design of this multi-strand die provides identical shear history for consistent uniformity. This design is beneficial for shear sensitive or low viscosity materials.
Monolith dies provide maximum surface area. This process absorbs unwanted material and includes examples such as carbon capture, water filtration, and petroleum refinement.
Sheet and film dies are used for a variety of applications. We design the internal geometry based on your viscosity curves, flow rate, and dimensions. The designs allow for a choker bar, deckles, and adjustable lip to fine tune thickness and width.
Forming dies include shapes as simple as a cylinder or as complex as a multi-cell monolith die. These dies can produce logos and shapes to support your brand.
RBF dies are used for monolayer film production such as packaging. Variations of RBF dies can be used for piping or tubing.
