Diamond America Announces Brand Re-Launch

Akron, Ohio. April 29, 2013 – Diamond America, an industry leader in extrusion equipment design and manufacturing, has initiated an international re-launch of its brand. The re-launch is part of the company’s plans to expand its services into developing petroleum-chemical technologies while further solidifying its leadership position in the development of extrusion equipment for the catalyst, food and mastic industries.

The re-launch is comprised of two major initiatives: First, it will introduce a new brand positioning: Extrusion Equipment – Designed to work. Built to last. Second, it will strengthen branding and marketing efforts with improved graphics and clear messaging that increases awareness of the benefits of knowledge-based consultation and design/build services.

The new marketing initiative began late last year with development of new trade show graphics and informational materials. Also part of the marketing initiative is improved customer communications, expanded product resources, and a redesigned website, which is set to launch this summer as part of a social media campaign.

“Customization is at the heart of everything we do,” said Jeff Schweizer, president of Diamond America. “Our process begins with thorough research and consultation to best determine the extrusion challenges our clients are faced with and to determine the best course of action. This approach allows us to find workable solutions that fit the specific needs of our customers and build equipment to deliver the results they expect. We feel strongly that our brand should reflect our core principles.”

Terry Hendershot, vice president of sales and operations for Diamond America, described the purpose for the re-launch, “Our customers, both current and potential, are in search of information that allows them to expand their understanding of the extrusion process and make informed decisions when determining who best can meet their specific needs. Given our unique capabilities to define the challenge, design a solution, and build a piece of equipment that delivers a viable end-product, we believe the information our marketing materials will provide are invaluable to our customers.”

Headquartered in Akron, Ohio, Diamond America has been providing design, engineering, and manufacturing of extrusion equipment to the food, plastics, petroleum, medical and various industries since 2000.
