Diamond America Corporation, a leader in engineering and manufacturing of extrusion equipment, announced that Mark Hensley (pictured on the right) has assumed the position of Senior Design Engineer. Mark will be responsible for directing the company's engineering staff in its continuing efforts to design singular solutions for its customers while maintaining Diamond America’s commitment to customization and quality.

Hensley commented, "I am honored and excited to lead the Diamond America engineering team. The commitment of everyone in this company to customer satisfaction and our approach to manufacturing quality extrusion equipment is what makes our company special. I look forward to continuing to expand our capabilities to achieve our goal of designing extrusion equipment that meets the unique goals of each and every customer."

Mark brings more than 30 years of experience in plastic extrusion and die design to Diamond America. Formerly an owner of his own extrusion company, Mark has broad experience in all aspects of profile extrusion, from die design, to Wire EDM, and machining, to downstream tooling design. He is proficient in various design software including AutoCad, Cadkey, Solidworks, Esprit, Mastercam and ProE.

Mark will be assisted by Don Howe, a design draftsmen who joined Diamond America in 2015. Don has more than 20 years of experience in die design and in the manufacturing industry.

Diamond America also announced that Timothy Byrne will lead its sales division. Timothy, who has worked in the plastics industry both in manufacturing and sales, holds the same position for Diamond America’s sister company, Akron Tool & Die.

"With the additions of Mark and Timothy, Diamond America is positioned to continue to expand into specialized extrusion industries such as catalyst, mastics, and adhesives where customers demand customized approaches to their production processes,” stated Mike Magee, President of Diamond America.
